FAQ

Plain answers for product choice, accounts, trials, checkout, installation, preset sharing, and support.

Account

Why am I not able to log in?

Use the sign-in control on the account page. If the password is wrong, use password recovery from the Identity dialog. If the recovery email does not arrive or the account still fails, send a support request from the account page.

How do I update my account information?

The site account is identified by email address. Use the support form if the account email needs to be changed. Include the current email, the new email, and a Lemon order ID if the account already owns products.

My billing information has changed. What do I need to do?

Use the correct billing information the next time you check out. Billing details are handled during Lemon Squeezy checkout and are not edited from the LangstrothDSP account page.

What information do you collect?

The site account stores the email address needed for sign-in and product access. Purchase and tax data are handled by Lemon Squeezy as the checkout provider and merchant of record. The account may also store product entitlement metadata so downloads can be shown after purchase.

How do I know my information is safe?

No public website can ask for blind trust. The practical rule is data minimization: the site account stores the minimum customer data needed for sign-in, ownership checks, and downloads. Payment details stay with the checkout provider rather than this static site.

How can I delete my account?

Send a request through the account support form. Account deletion may also require manual review of product entitlements and purchase records.

What if I forgot my password and no longer have access to my account email?

Use password recovery first if the email address is still reachable. If the email address is no longer accessible, support can review the case, but account recovery may not be possible without enough purchase evidence to distinguish the buyer from someone else.

Company and Products

Who are you and why should I care about the products?

LangstrothDSP makes audio plugins built around visible control surfaces: graphs, bands, nodes, detector routing, meter history, Delta monitoring, and product-specific manuals. The fastest way to judge the fit is to try a product and read the manual section for the signal model.

Which product is best suited for my needs?

Start on the product browser. BeePressor is creative multiband compression. BeeDyn is wild dynamic EQ. BeeComps is a compressor smorgasbord of fixed single-band identities. BeeVerb is intense multiband reverb. BeeViz is a dry spectrum and spectrogram analyzer.

Is there a Discord server or other online community?

No public community link is listed on this site yet. If one becomes public, it should be linked from the site rather than described only in support messages.

Where can I find you on social media?

No official social links are listed on the site right now. Use the site, manuals, releases page, and account support form as the reliable public sources.

Do you offer programs or partnerships with content creators?

Use the support form and choose the closest issue type. Include the product, audience, format, and what you want to make.

Do you work with distributors?

Not currently. Distributor requests should go through support and include store, territory, fulfillment model, and support expectations.

Are you hiring or looking for beta testers?

Beta interest can be sent through support. Include your operating system, hosts, plugin formats, and the kind of material you would test.

Where can I find legal information or a EULA?

Legal and license text should ship with the installer or account download package when published. If you need it before purchase, send a support request.

How can I unsubscribe from emails?

There is no public mailing list on this site. Account email is used for sign-in, purchase access, and necessary support or checkout messages.

I am unsatisfied with my purchase. What options do I have?

Send a support request and describe the issue. Refunds are reviewed manually, especially for cart purchases that may grant several product entitlements. See the pricing and payment section for the refund summary.

Trials, Licenses, and Fulfillment

Do you offer a demo or trial?

Yes. Each product surface has a Trial action. Release status and installer availability are listed on the release notes page.

Can the trial period be extended?

The trial is intended to be generous enough for a real evaluation. Extensions are not routine. If there is a specific accessibility, travel, or system failure reason, send the details through support.

Do I need iLok or another third-party hardware authorization system?

No iLok requirement is part of the public product model. Purchases grant account download access, and the products are intended to use a simple license-key style authorization rather than a hardware dongle.

Will my plugins stop working if the license model changes later?

A working license should remain valid for the product version it authorized. Future major versions may use updated delivery or account behavior, but that should not invalidate an already working installed version.

Can these plugins be used offline?

The products are intended to work offline after installation and authorization are in place. Checkout, account downloads, and account recovery require network access.

Will future updates be free?

Updates within the major version you own are intended to be free. A future major version may carry an upgrade fee.

How are licenses delivered?

A purchase grants account download access for the purchased product. Sign in on the account page with the checkout email to see available downloads and release rows.

What license access does a purchase create?

A purchase grants account download access for the purchased product, or for every product included in a cart checkout. Access is tied to the checkout email and product entitlement metadata shown on the account page.

How do I download and install plugins?

Use the product Trial action, the release notes page, or the signed-in account page when customer downloads are available. Install the format your host supports.

How many users or computers may use one license?

Use one license for one user. If a business, school, lab, or studio needs multiple users, ask for a bulk or institutional arrangement before sharing credentials.

Can I redeem a product code?

Product-code redemption is not currently part of the public checkout or account flow.

Can a plugin license be transferred?

License transfer is not currently supported as a self-service action. Account email changes require support review and purchase evidence.

Is it safe to buy the plugins secondhand?

Secondhand purchases are not supported. If the seller cannot transfer the account and purchase evidence through support review, assume the license may not be recoverable.

I lost my license or download information. How can I recover it?

Sign in on the account page with the checkout email. If the product does not appear, send the checkout email, product name, and Lemon order ID if available.

Can I revoke an old machine and move the license to a new one?

There is no self-service machine revocation page because the products are not designed around continuous network control of installed systems. Install and authorize on the new machine with the product information tied to the account or purchase.

Why am I not receiving emails?

Check the address used at checkout or sign-in, spam filtering, and any email aliases. The site does not run a general marketing list, so missing email usually means account recovery, checkout receipt, or support delivery needs to be checked.

Pricing and Payment

What do the products cost?

BeePressor, BeeDyn, and BeeVerb are $75 each. BeeComps is $25. BeeViz is $15. The cart shows the current total before checkout.

Do you accept payment from my country?

Availability depends on Lemon Squeezy checkout, payment method support, and local payment restrictions. If checkout refuses the transaction, send the exact checkout message through support.

How does VAT or sales tax affect me?

Tax handling is part of the Lemon Squeezy checkout flow. The checkout provider determines whether tax is collected and what receipt data is shown.

Do you support installment payment methods?

No installment plan is listed on the site. Use the payment methods offered directly by Lemon Squeezy checkout.

Do you run sales?

No scheduled sale calendar is listed. The standing discount is the successive multi-product cart discount, so existing customers and new customers see the same product-count policy.

Do you offer bundle or upgrade pricing?

Yes. The cart applies a successive discount based on selected products and products already owned by the signed-in customer. One product has no discount, two products receive 5%, three products receive 10%, four products receive 12.5%, and five products receive about 15.1%. The current five-product catalog totals $225 through that stacking discount.

Do you offer educational or enterprise discounts?

Students and teachers in music-related education at accredited institutions can request a 50% education discount. Businesses should request bulk pricing with the number of users, products, and deployment model.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are reviewed manually. A refund is most likely when an intractable product bug prevents use and support cannot resolve it. Cart purchases can grant multiple product entitlements, so refund and entitlement changes are not applied blindly from a single automated event.

Can I get a receipt or proof of purchase?

The checkout provider should email a receipt after purchase. If you cannot find it, include the checkout email, product, approximate purchase date, and Lemon order ID if available in a support request.

Presets and Sharing

What is preset sharing?

Supported preset URLs encode product state so another browser can draw a read-only preview on the preset page. The preview is for inspection and sharing; it does not replace the plugin's own preset loader.

Which presets get a custom browser preview?

The preset decoder supports BeeComps single-band payloads and the current BeePressor and BeeDyn multiband preset surfaces. BeeVerb and BeeViz do not have custom preset decoder support in this pass. Unsupported products or unknown payloads fall back to the product image shell instead of drawing fake controls.

Why does the decoder need product-specific behavior?

Different products use different parameter ownership. BeePressor bands, BeeDyn nodes, BeeComps fixed identities, BeeVerb wet-return bands, and BeeViz display state do not all map threshold, range, gain, timing, graph position, or analyzer state the same way.

Can I paste a full preset URL?

Yes. The decoder accepts a full URL when the path and encoded data are valid. It reads the meaningful portion after the domain instead of requiring a manually trimmed token.

What should I send when a preset preview looks wrong?

Send the full preset URL, source product, plugin version, and what looks wrong. Use the support form or include the same details in a support message.

Technical

How do I update the plugins?

Install the latest package listed on the release notes page or the signed-in account download area. Close the host before replacing plugin binaries.

How do I use the sidechain input?

Enable the sidechain bus in the host, then set the product's detector source to External where supported. The detector listens to the sidechain; it does not replace the processed audio path. The product manuals explain this in the BeePressor, BeeDyn, BeeComps, and BeeVerb routing sections. BeeViz has no detector or sidechain path.

How do I enable MIDI features on these FX plugins?

No public MIDI feature setup is required for the current product surfaces. If a host exposes MIDI routing to an effect slot, it should not be assumed to control the plugin unless the product manual names a MIDI parameter or procedure.

Why can't I see any plugins after running the installer?

Confirm that the installed format matches the host, then rescan plugins in the host. Check whether the host runs native Apple Silicon, Intel, or translated mode, and whether it scans AU, VST3, CLAP, or standalone applications. If the plugin still does not appear, send OS, host, format, installer version, and any scan log.

Why does my OS prevent installation?

Do not bypass an operating-system warning without checking the installer source. Download from the site or account page, confirm the expected product and version, then send the exact warning text through support if the OS still blocks it.

How do I uninstall the plugins?

Remove the installed plugin files from the relevant system plugin folders, then rescan the host. On macOS these are commonly /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components for AU, /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 for VST3, and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/CLAP for CLAP. Standalone applications are usually removed from /Applications.

Where do plugins install files on my computer?

Install location depends on platform, format, and installer package. On macOS, AU, VST3, and CLAP use the standard Audio Plug-Ins folders under /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/. Standalone builds normally install as applications.

What hardware specifications are required?

Use a modern 64-bit system capable of running current audio hosts. CPU use depends on product, band or node count, visualizer state, oversampling or ADAA where available, and host buffer size.

What OS and DAW versions are supported?

The release notes are the source of truth for published installers, platform target, format, and known installer status. If a host is not listed, send the host version and format you want to use.

Are there plans to support a specific DAW?

If the DAW supports one of the published plugin formats, test the trial or current installer. If it fails, send host version, plugin format, OS, and the host scan or validation message.

Is there a standalone version?

Standalone is listed in the product package target where available. Check release notes and account downloads for the actual published installer.

Is Linux supported?

Linux should be treated as unreleased until a Linux package appears in the release notes. CLAP support alone does not mean a Linux installer is publicly available.

Is CLAP supported?

CLAP is part of the listed package target where the product release includes it. Host support still depends on the host's CLAP implementation and scanner.

Is ARA supported?

ARA is not part of the current public product contract. These products are effects processors, not ARA editor integrations.

Is NKS supported?

NKS is not part of the current public product contract. If that changes, it should appear in release notes or a product manual.

Are Audio Unit versions supported on iPad?

Not currently. The public release target is desktop plugin and standalone use, not iPad AUv3.

Are 32-bit systems supported?

No. Use a 64-bit operating system and host.

Do visualizers change the sound?

No. FFT, Hi-Res, spectrogram, meter history, and graph meter views are inspection tools. BeeViz is the clearest case: it is a dry pass-through analyzer. Visualizers help explain what is being measured or changed; they do not replace gain staging or change the core DSP mode unless a product manual names a processing control explicitly.

What is Delta monitoring?

Delta monitoring auditions the difference between input and processed output. It is useful for checking what the processor is changing, but final level and tone decisions should be made with normal output monitoring.

What does M/S operation mean in these products?

M/S operation separates mid and side ownership where the product supports it. In BeePressor and BeeDyn this can be band or node focused. In BeeComps it applies to the fixed single-band product path. BeeVerb uses per-band stereo or M/S ownership for wet-return behavior where supported.

Support

How can I submit a bug report or feature request?

Use the support form. It works for product bugs, feature requests, checkout issues, account issues, preset preview problems, and manual corrections.

What should I include in a support request?

Include product name, version or build, operating system, host or DAW, plugin format, issue type, preset URL when relevant, Lemon order ID for checkout issues, exact action, expected result, actual result, and whether it repeats in a new empty session.

What should I check before reporting a missing download?

Confirm that you are signed in on /account/ with the checkout email. Reload the account page, then check whether the purchase appears in the account product list.

What should I check before reporting audio behavior?

Start with a simple session, disable unrelated plugins, match input and output level, and note whether Delta, meter history, or the manual's expected topology explains the movement. Send the smallest reproducible preset or steps.

What should I check before reporting installation problems?

Include installer version, operating system version, processor type, host name and version, plugin format, plugin scan result, and the exact OS or host error text. Screenshots of installer errors are useful when the text is not copyable.
